On December 16, 2008, the "Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on flavourings and certain food ingredients with flavouring properties for use in and on foods…" [1] was enacted and came into force on January 20, 2011 following its publication on December 31, 2008 and will have a binding effect in EC countries as of January 20, 2011.
